  • Exciting things are happening

Got word from my oldest sister the other day that we finally have a signature on the contract for moms house which means that I will be moving back to the Fayetteville/Springdale area hopefully within the next month or so. It has been an extremely hard 7½ years being in a town that I hate and having my daughter 100 miles away,I have wondered over the years if I hadn’t come down to help mom with dad as he was dying and then taking care of mom after he was gone if I could have saved my daughter a lot of heartaches and bad decisions or if this was the way it was supposed to be. It will be great to be back in the area that I fondly call home and reconnect with those that I have let fall by the wayside and be there for my daughter and granddaughter and be able to find a job and stop being a drain on society again.

  • My daughter

Things seem to be going well for my daughter. She and her fiance (and of course their daughter) got out of the apartment they had been living in for the past 2 years and got into a house 4 houses away from where she spent the first 18 years of her life. She knows all the neighbors and her mother still lives in the same house that we lived in when she was born so if she needs a babysitter there is always someone within walking distance.

She also found THE wedding dress

Normally I would not recommend buying it 15 months in advance but she has always been small and she is back to her pre pregnancy weight so I think it will be fine. I have a great daughter,a wonderful granddaughter and soon a son in law to be proud of.

  • My Granddaughter

This is my granddaughter Stella Marie.

Since I have family on zanga that have never met her in person I thought I would post some pictures here and they can at least watch her grow this way. She was born on Saintvi’s birthday. The picture above is when she was about 8 hours old.

  • Why Advertise the fact?

I am wondering if there is a reason why people advertise the fact when they unsubscribe to people like Dan. If they don’t agree with the way he uses his xanga and want to let him know why not just send him a private message? There is absolutly no reason that I can think of to make a blog out of the fact that they are no longer subscribed to him or anyone else. To my way of thinking that is just being a wuss because he gets so many comments on his blogs, and to be fair,he IS probably the most well known blogger on xanga with tens of thousands(?) of subscribers so it would stand to reason that he will get more comments on a daily basis than most anyone else. I know that there are those that will disagree with me on this but isn’t it the same as 2 kids playing and one kid starts yelling that the other won’t let him/her play with his toys?

  • For Seedsower…

Knowing that you like photos of the unusual I thought of you when I took the following pics yesterday. These are in a small city park in Alma Arkansas, which is known as the spinach capital of the world (which explains the last pic), whoever the artist is that did the mural has got great depth perception, you actually feel as though you can step right into the painting. Enjoy.

  • Happy Memorial Day

I would like to take a moment and thank all those who have served our country, past and present, and wish them a very happy memorial day. Without people like you who serve our country with honor and devotion we would be in a world of hurt. Thank you.

  • My sister and neice are on the way

My sister (saintvi) and my neice (joyous wind) are headed this way after spending a week in southern Texas visiting with vi’s inlaws. This will be my only chance to see joyous wind before she heads to South Korea for a year to teach english. She has finally attained her masters degree and I think that she is just about sick of school since that is all she has known since she was 5 years old. Krysten,if you read this I am very proud of you for your accomplishment. Mom seems to think that this will be the last time that she sees them since the alzheimers doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Be safe on the road and don’t try to push it too hard since the police will be out in force for memorial day traffic.
