  • Happy Memorial Day

I would like to take a moment and thank all those who have served our country, past and present, and wish them a very happy memorial day. Without people like you who serve our country with honor and devotion we would be in a world of hurt. Thank you.

  • My sister and neice are on the way

My sister (saintvi) and my neice (joyous wind) are headed this way after spending a week in southern Texas visiting with vi’s inlaws. This will be my only chance to see joyous wind before she heads to South Korea for a year to teach english. She has finally attained her masters degree and I think that she is just about sick of school since that is all she has known since she was 5 years old. Krysten,if you read this I am very proud of you for your accomplishment. Mom seems to think that this will be the last time that she sees them since the alzheimers doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Be safe on the road and don’t try to push it too hard since the police will be out in force for memorial day traffic.

  • Another one bites the dust….

The heavy metal music world lost it’s best voice this morning with the passing of Ronnie James Dio who passed away at age 67 from stomache cancer.  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100516/ap_en_mu/us_obit_ronnie_james_dio  I have not listened to metal for a number of years but he was my favorite when I did listen to it. A small man with a gigantic voice that is now silent.
